Story & Plot:

Our Universe is a warm romantic comedy about two people who never expected to become a family. Sun Tae-hyung and Woo Hyun-jin are in-laws who do not get along and often argue whenever they meet. Their lives suddenly change after their older siblings die in an unexpected accident.

After the tragedy, Tae-hyung and Hyun-jin are left responsible for their 20-month-old nephew, Woo-joo. With no easy solution, the two decide to live together and raise him as co-parents. Neither of them has much experience with childcare, so everyday life quickly becomes a mixture of difficult situations, misunderstandings, and funny moments.

Tae-hyung is an assistant photographer who values his freedom and usually prefers to keep his distance from others. Hyun-jin, meanwhile, is focused on finding a stable job and building an ordinary life. Their personalities are very different, which makes living under the same roof even more challenging.

As they spend more time caring for Woo-joo, they slowly begin to understand each other. The arguments gradually become less important as they learn to depend on one another. Looking after the baby also helps them face painful memories and personal problems from their past.

Things become more complicated when Park Yoon-seong, Hyun-jin’s first love, comes back into her life. His return creates new tension between Tae-hyung and Hyun-jin and makes them question what they really feel for each other.

The drama follows their journey from reluctant co-parents to people who gradually become important to each other. Along the way, it explores family, responsibility, healing, adulthood, and the unexpected ways love can grow.
