Story & Plot:

Come and Hug Me is an emotional romance drama about two childhood sweethearts whose lives are changed by a tragic crime. Yoon Na-moo and Gil Nak-won fall in love when they are young, but their relationship is suddenly destroyed by Na-moo’s father.

Na-moo’s father, Yoon Hee-jae, is a notorious serial killer who murders Nak-won’s parents. Na-moo is devastated by what his father has done, while Nak-won is left carrying painful memories from the tragedy. The two are separated and grow up living very different lives.

Years later, Na-moo becomes Chae Do-jin, a police officer who wants to live a good life and make his own identity despite his father’s crimes. He carries a strong sense of responsibility and tries to help victims and their families.

Nak-won also starts a new life under the name Han Jae-yi and becomes a successful actress. Although she remains cheerful and determined, the painful events of her childhood still affect her. She has never completely forgotten Na-moo, but seeing him again also brings back memories of the past.

When Do-jin and Jae-yi meet again as adults, their old feelings slowly return. However, their love is complicated by the fact that Do-jin is the son of the man who destroyed Jae-yi’s family. They must decide whether they can overcome their painful past and build a future together.

As they try to move forward, the past continues to follow them. Their relationship is tested by people who cannot separate Do-jin from his father’s crimes and by the emotional scars that both of them still carry.
