Story & Plot:
Bloodhounds is a fast-paced Korean action drama about two young boxers who become involved in the dangerous world of private lending.
The story follows Kim Gun-woo, a hardworking boxer who dreams of becoming a professional, and Hong Woo-jin, another talented boxer who eventually becomes his close friend. Although they initially meet as competitors in the ring, the two quickly develop a strong friendship.
Gun-woo’s family faces serious financial problems after his mother gets trapped in a loan scheme run by a ruthless moneylender. When Gun-woo realizes how dangerous these people are, he decides to help his family escape their debt.
Gun-woo and Woo-jin then cross paths with President Choi, a former moneylender who now tries to help people struggling with debt. He offers them protection and gives them a chance to fight back against the criminal organization threatening Gun-woo’s family.
Their biggest enemy is Kim Myeong-gil, a powerful and ruthless businessman who controls a large illegal lending operation. As the two boxers get deeper into this dangerous conflict, they discover that Myeong-gil’s influence reaches far beyond ordinary loan sharks.
The story gradually becomes a battle of friendship, loyalty, courage, and revenge. Gun-woo and Woo-jin must use their boxing skills and teamwork to survive increasingly dangerous situations while protecting the people they care about.
